Getting to Getaria is extremely simple and direct, especially if you're traveling from nearby San Sebastián, as you can drive along the scenic coastal route, which takes about 30 minutes. Alternatively, the E21 bus offers a convenient option, with regular services connecting the two towns.

You can start your adventure by exploring the town's historic streets. Don't miss the Iglesia de San Salvador, a Gothic building with stunning architecture. If you are a fashion enthusiast, the <b>Cristobal Balenciaga Museum</b> offers a fascinating glimpse into the life and work of the renowned fashion designer who was born here​.

Also known as the <b>"Mouse of Getaria"</b>, this hill offers fantastic views of the town and the Bay of Biscay. The hike is short but rewarding, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of the area. The trail starts at the end of Getaria's port, where the path ascends through a blend of forested areas and open spaces, providing a mix of shade and sun. Partway up the trail, you'll find an old lighthouse that offers historical insights and great views. At the summit, you are rewarded with stunning vistas of Getaria, the surrounding coastline, and the vast expanse of the Bay of Biscay!

<b>3. Beach Time:</b>


Getaria is home to two lovely beaches: Malkorbe Beach and Gaztetape Beach. While Malkorbe Beach is perfect for a relaxing swim, Gaztetape Beach attracts surfers with its lively waves​.
