Hi, Lykkers! Do you know where is the best place to go on vacation? Lake Solina is the perfect place for you to relax and unwind on vacation!

About Lake Solina

This beautiful lake in the heart of Bieszczady is just as beloved as the surrounding mountains, especially among holidaymakers seeking relaxation. Established in 1968 by damming the San River, it is Poland’s largest artificial lake, covering an area of 22 km² and weaving its shimmering waters through the picturesque valleys and forests of one of the country’s most unspoiled natural landscapes.

Main Activities & Attractions at Lake Solina

Nearly every water sport you can imagine is available here, with most activities centered around the northern towns of Solina and Polańczyk. Swimming and sunbathing are popular, as is fishing.

LAKE CRUISES

Don't worry if you still need to acquire your sailing license. Popular lake tours may be found on boats that regularly depart from Solina and Polańczyk. Romantic sunset cruises and sightseeing excursions with commentary from local guides are among the available options.

SOLINA DAM & CABLEWAY

The largest dam in Poland, the dam in Solina is truly an engineering marvel. You can walk across it to get breathtaking vistas, and you can even go on guided tours to learn more about how it functions and drives the area. The cableway station, located nearby, offers a 1.5km journey across the river that provides breathtaking aerial views of the dam, lake, and surrounding surroundings.

A 'skywalk' that doubles as an automated picture booth is part of the cableway observation tower (extra ticket required).

Where to Stay on Lake Solina

Although the northern coasts of the seaside towns of Solina and Polańczyk are well-developed, there are many different places to stay, including hotels, vacation resorts, private cabins, cottages, glamping, and camping. The choice in the nearby Lesko, Sanok der Polańczyk is larger.

White Sails Solina

The undoubted advantage of this hotel is its location - close to the dam and all the attractions related to the Solina Reservoir, and at the same time slightly away from the tourist crap that unfortunately flooded Jawor. The main building has a reception with a bar and a restaurant with a beautiful view of the reservoir. Food is served buffet style. One night costs about $165 with taxes + fees.

Where to Eat on Lake Solina

If you browse any of the many lakefront eateries offering fresh catches, you'll find that Lake Solina is brimming with zander, perch, carp, and trout.

Karmnik

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food. Price per person $20–30. Pancakes with smoked salmon are crazy, perfectly fried, not covered in fat, and combined with a delicious horseradish sauce, it creates an explosion of flavors! Żurramen soup is a unique dish, recommend it!

The Karmnik Restaurant is a must-see during your stay in Solina.
