Our recent trip to St. Moritz was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Alps, this glamorous resort town offered a perfect blend of high-end relaxation and thrilling outdoor adventures.

From its stunning natural beauty to its world-class attractions, St. Moritz truly lived up to its reputation as a premier alpine destination.

Chasing Thrills and Scenic Splendor

Our adventure began with a visit to the Corviglia Ski Area, a must-see for any winter sports enthusiast. The ski area, which is renowned for its pristine slopes and breathtaking views, is open from early December to late April.

We spent an exhilarating day carving through the snow and soaking in the panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains. For those looking to ski or snowboard, a day pass costs around CHF 80 for adults and CHF 40 for children. Even if you’re not hitting the slopes, the views from the top are well worth the trip.

We also explored St. Moritz Lake, which is beautiful both in winter and summer. In winter, the frozen lake transforms into a playground for ice skating, ice sailing. In the summer, it becomes a hub for sailing and paddleboarding. The lake’s promenade is perfect for a leisurely stroll, offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Visiting the lake is free, though activities on the ice or water might have separate charges.

Luxurious Accommodation

After a day full of activities, we retreated to the luxurious Kulm Hotel St. Moritz, which is conveniently located near both the Corviglia Ski Area and St. Moritz Lake. This five-star hotel offers a blend of classic elegance and modern amenities.

The rooms provide stunning views of the lake and mountains, and the hotel’s spa and dining options are second to none. Room rates start at around CHF 400 per night, including breakfast, which felt like a worthwhile splurge for the comfort and convenience provided.

Lykkers, our time in St. Moritz was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Whether we were skiing on world-famous slopes or enjoying a peaceful walk around the lake, every moment was enhanced by the town’s stunning alpine setting.

St. Moritz offers something for everyone, from outdoor enthusiasts to those simply looking to unwind in luxury. If you’re planning a trip to the Swiss Alps, we highly recommend making St. Moritz a part of your itinerary—it’s a destination that truly has it all.
