• 1 cup all-purpose flour


• 1/2 cup granulated sugar


• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened


• 1/4 cup matcha powder


• 1/2 teaspoon baking powder


• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda


• 1/4 teaspoon salt


• 1/2 cup granulated sugar


• 2 large eggs


• 1/2 cup milk


• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Set the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C). Mix the flour, sugar, matcha powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a big basin. Beat the butter and sugar in a another bowl until they are light and fluffy. Add the milk and vanilla essence after beating in each egg separately. Mixing until just incorporated, gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ones.


Spoon the mixture into a 9-inch round cake pan that has been dusted and buttered. When a toothpick put into the center comes out clean, bake for 30 to 35 minutes. After the cake has cooled in the pan for ten minutes, move it to a wire rack to finish cooling.
