Our Norwegian adventure led us to a charming and lesser-known treasure: Borhella Lighthouse.

The lighthouse is open to visitors from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily during the summer months (June through August). We arrived early to make the most of our visit. The entry fee is modest at 100 NOK (about $10), which includes access to the lighthouse’s museum and the chance to climb to the top for panoramic views of the fjords and coastline.

As we climbed the narrow spiral staircase, the anticipation built, and the reward at the top was breathtaking—an uninterrupted vista of the shimmering waters and rugged cliffs.

The hotel’s rustic charm and modern comforts made our stay incredibly enjoyable. Rooms start at 1,200 NOK (about $120) per night, including breakfast. The inn’s on-site restaurant served delicious local seafood, adding a delightful touch to our stay.
