Hey Lykkers! Have you ever dreamed of experiencing London from the sky?

Join us as we explore The Shard, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, offering breathtaking views and delightful experiences.

A Glimpse into The Shard

Standing at 310 meters, The Shard is the tallest building in the UK and offers a striking silhouette against London’s skyline. We started our adventure by visiting the observation deck on the 72nd floor. The views are nothing short of spectacular, allowing us to see famous landmarks like Tower Bridge, the Thames, and the sprawling cityscape.

Opening hours for The View from The Shard are from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, with last entry at 9 PM. Ticket prices range from £30 to £38, depending on the time of day and whether you book in advance. We found that pre-booking not only saved us money but also helped us skip the long lines!

Practical Information

When planning your visit, it's worth noting that The Shard is located at London Bridge, making it easily accessible via public transport. The nearest tube station is London Bridge, and we found the area well-connected by buses as well. If you’re driving, there’s nearby parking, but do check for any local charges. For a seamless experience, consider visiting during weekdays to avoid the crowds!

Culinary Delights Nearby

After soaking in the stunning views, we worked up quite an appetite. We decided to explore local cuisine, and we were not disappointed! We stumbled upon Borough Market, just a short walk away, which is a food lover's paradise.

We tried delicious vegetarian dishes, including a hearty falafel wrap for around £7 and a scrumptious halloumi burger for about £10. The market buzzes with energy and offers plenty of options, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Don't miss the fresh juices and artisanal baked goods while you’re there!

A Special Stay: Hotel Review

If you’re looking to extend your visit, we recommend staying at The Shard’s own Shangri-La Hotel, which occupies the 34th to 52nd floors. With panoramic views of the city, it’s a luxurious retreat after a day of exploring. Room rates start around £400 per night, but the experience is worth every penny! Imagine waking up to a sunrise over the Thames or enjoying a sunset drink in their Sky Lounge—what a way to experience London!

Our trip to The Shard was an unforgettable experience, blending stunning views, delicious food, and luxurious accommodations. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned London traveler, The Shard offers something unique. We can’t wait to share more adventures with you, Lykkers, so stay tuned for our next journey!
