To reach Ushba, you'll first need to get to the town of Mestia, the main hub for travelers in Svaneti.

By Air: The quickest way to reach Mestia is to fly from Tbilisi to Queen Tamar Airport in Mestia. Domestic flights are available several times a week.

By Car: If you prefer a road trip, you can rent a car in Tbilisi and drive to Mestia. The journey is about 8-10 hours and offers breathtaking scenery along the way. Ensure your vehicle is robust, as the roads can be challenging, especially in bad weather.

By Bus: There are also minivans (marshrutkas) that depart from Tbilisi and Kutaisi to Mestia. This is a more budget-friendly option, taking around 10-12 hours.

Once in Mestia, there are plenty of activities and sights to explore before and after your hike to Ushba.

Ushba Glacier:
