<h3>Getting There</h3>

The Peljesac Bridge stretches over 2.4 kilometers. This cable-stayed bridge spans the Adriatic, linking Komarna on the mainland with Brijesta on the Peljesac Peninsula. Once you've crossed the bridge, the road to Ston is a scenic delight. The journey winds through picturesque landscapes, with vineyards and olive groves dotting the hillsides.

<h3>The Great Wall of Ston</h3>

Arriving in Ston, you'll be greeted by the imposing sight of the Ston Walls, often called the "Great Wall of Europe." Stretching over 5.5 kilometers, these ancient fortifications are a testament to the town's strategic importance. Take a hike along the walls for panoramic views of the town, the salt pans, and the surrounding countryside. Start your hike at the Ston entrance with the main entrance adjacent to the Veliki Kaštio, a large fortress, it will take around 1 to 1.5 hours one way, and expect it to be moderately difficult due to the steep steps and uneven terrain. You can park near the entrance in one of the many parking places, and daily parking rates range from €5 to €10 per day. Bring some cash, as not all parking areas accept credit cards.

<h3>Ston Salt Works</h3>

Dive into the history of one of the oldest active salt pans in the world. The Ston Salt Works has been producing salt for over 4,000 years and is nowadays an open-air museum. Join a guided tour for €5 to €10 per person to learn about the traditional methods of salt harvesting and why this "white gold" was so valuable in medieval times.
